Bonnie L. Jablonski
Bonnie L. Jablonski, age 58, of
Lancaster, died
Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at her home.
She was born on April 18, 1949, in
Owen-Withee,
WI, the daughter of Paul and Virgean (Plaman)
Rossow. Bonnie graduated
from Pelican High School in Rhinelander and then
attended a technical college.
On February 12, 1969, Bonnie was united
in marriage to Michael Jablonski in Wausau.
After their marriage, Bonnie raised the children and
volunteered at school with the kindergarten children.
She later worked at Monroe Manor from 1982 until 1984 and
then relocated to Grant County where she was employed at the
Good Samaritan in Fennimore as an activity assistant for the past
thirteen years. Bonnie
enjoyed sewing, kitting and crocheting.
Survivors include her
husband, Michael Jablonski, Lancaster; two sons, Robert (Faye)
Jablonski, Fairfield, CA;
Chris (Launa) Jablonski, Blackduck,
MN; one daughter, Jessica Hale, Lancaster;
and eight grandchildren.
In addition to her
parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by a brother, Arlyn Rossow.
There
was no funeral
service or visitation.
Private family burial will take place at a later date.
Merle Jamison
Merle Jamison,
age 95, of Lancaster,
died on Wednesday,
November 12, 2008, at Grant
Regional
Health Center
in Lancaster.
She was born on January 16, 1913, in Beetown, the daughter of James and
Vina (Burton) Duncan.
In October of 1929, Merle was united in marriage to LeRoy
Jamison in Dubuque.
After their marriage, the couple resided in Beetown for a
short time before moving a few miles outside of
Lancaster
in January of 1947. The
couple farmed there for many years.
Merle enjoyed working on the farm, raising chickens,
gardening and canning.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,
great-great grandmother and great-great-great grandmother who will
be dearly missed.
Survivors include her children: Zona Levins, East Dubuque,
IL; Zena (Ted) Grattan, Lancaster; Vernetta Seippel, Lancaster;
George (Diane) Jamison, Dubuque; and Charles Jamison, Lancaster;
many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren
and great-great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Merle was preceded in death by
her husband on June 21, 1977; two sons, LeRoy, Jr.
and David; four brothers: Clyde, Lloyd, Jeff
and Jim; two sisters: Belva Pascoe and Inga Reiser; three
sons-in-law: Delbert Levins, Harold Chapman and Henry Seippel; her
step-father, William Clauer; and
one great-grandson, Tyler Houtakker.
Funeral services were held on
Saturday, November 15, 2008, at
11:00 a.m.
at the Calvary
Community
Church in
Lancaster
with Pastor David Arevalo officiating.
Burial was in Burns
Cemetery, Beetown.
Friends called on Saturday, from
9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Harriett M. Jeidy
Harriett M. Jeidy, age 84,
formerly of Lancaster, Bagley, and Prairie du Chien, died on Sunday,
April 10, 2011, at the Lancaster Care Center. She was born on
June 9, 1926, in Seneca, Crawford County,
WI, the daughter of Ernest and Cynthia (Heisz) Messling.
Harriett was united in marriage on October 19, 1944 to Bernard J.
Jeidy in Sonoma, CA, and enjoyed
forty-nine years together until his passing on April 18, 1993.
Survivors
include two daughters: Bernadine (Grant) Porath, LaCrosse;
Doris “Dot” (Mick) Millin, Bagley; six grandchildren:
Tammy (Jim) Coorough, Milwaukee; Kelly Tichenor, Mt. Horeb; Shelley
(Bob) Kellogg, LaCrosse; Jason (Jody) Millin, Mt. Hope; Diana Irish,
Minneapolis; Kevin Raasch, LaCrosse; thirteen great-grandchildren:
Scott, Jessica, Ashley, Lindsey, Lexi, Brittany, Nathan, Tyler,
Garrett, Payton, Owen, Mackenzie, and Christian; two sisters: Julia
Larmore, Dickeyville; and Bernice Cooper, Prairie du Chien; one
brother, Robert (Ruth Ann) Messling, Mt. Sterling; sister-in-law,
Marilyn Messling, Prairie du Chien; many nieces and nephews.
In addition
to her parents, Harriett was preceded in death by her husband, five
brothers: Paulie, Kelly, Edwin “Buddy,” Roger and Ronnie Messling;
an infant twin sister, Helen.
Funeral services were held on
Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home in
Bloomington with Pastor Mary Ann Floerke officiating. Burial
was in Union Nagle Cemetery in Patch Grove Township.

Marcella C. Jerrett
Marcella C. Jerrett, 82, of
Lancaster, died July 17, 2011, at Orchard Manor in Lancaster.
She was born on October 13, 1928, a daughter of
John and Katherine (Kirschbaum) Kipper. On November 25, 1953,
Marcella was united in marriage to Fredrick L. Jerrett at St.
Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster.
Marcella is
survived by her children, Bernard Jerrett of Lancaster, Dean (Kathy)
Jerrett of Millville, Leonard (Kim) Jerrett of Lancaster, Rosemary
Jerrett of Lancaster, Fredrick
Jerrett Jr. of Prairie du Chien, Marie (Dean Lyons) Jerrett of
Platteville, Laura (Mark) Reynolds of Lancaster, Robert (Kerry)
Jerrett of Lancaster, and Edward Jerrett of Lancaster; twelve
grandchildren, Jeremy and Jarred Reynolds and Jessica (Brad) Klaas,
children of Laura & Mark Reynolds, Amandalyn and Wade Jerrett,
children of Robert & Kerry Jerrett, Kyle (Desirae) Jerrett, son of
Dean & Kathy Jerrett, Heather Bauer, Heidi (Doug) Adrian, Anthony
and Jordan Jerrett, children of Leonard & Kim Jerrett, Angie (Ed)
Hoffman and Eric Jerrett, children of Bernard Jerrett; nine
great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Norbert (Karen) Stoker; and
nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
She was
preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Jerrett; her parents;
sisters, Irene (Lee) Irish and Leona Stoker; brothers, LaVern
(Helen) Kipper and Sylvester (Marjorie) Kipper.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30
am on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at St. Clement Catholic Church in
Lancaster, with Father William Seipp celebrating the mass.
Burial will be in St. Clement Cemetery. Visitation will be
from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, July 20, at St. Clement Catholic
Church. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service
Thursday at the church. Martin Funeral Home in Lancaster is
serving her family.
Stanley "Buck" Jerrett
Stanley
“Buck” Jerrett, age 91, of Lancaster, passed away with his
family by his side on Friday, October 21, 2011. He was born
on July 20, 1920, the son of Earl
Sr. and Bertha (Dival) Jerrett. He
attended Dyer School. Stanley served in
Korea for one year. It was love at first sight when Stanley
met his future wife Lila (Austin) at the Roller-skating Rink in
Lancaster. They later were married in
Platteville on December 24, 1945. Together they have been on
the home farm for sixty-five years. He also worked for Briel’s of
Fennimore, Finney and Wehrenberg
of Lancaster and then retired after seventeen years with the
Lancaster School District. Stanley served faithfully for over fifty
years at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He enjoyed farming
with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Stanley
had a great sense of humor that was enjoyed by everyone around him.
Surviving is
his wife, Lila, three sons: Wayne (Pat) Jerrett, Roger (fiancé Cheri
Klaas) Jerrett, and Randy (Sharon) Jerrett; eleven grandchildren;
thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene
Wieland; two sisters-in-law,
Lorretta Muir and Janice Austin;
many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
He was
preceded in death by his parents, a son, Mark; a daughter, Julie;
and his brothers, Donald and Earl Jr. (Edna) Jerrett.
Funeral services were held on
Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses
in Fennimore with Larry McDaniel officiating. Private family burial
was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends called
on Monday, October 24, 2011, from 4:00
p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster.
Jerry
Johnson
Jerald M. “Jerry”
Johnson, age 80, of
Bloomington, died on Saturday, November 26, 2011, at Orchard
Manor Nursing Home, rural Lancaster.
He was born on March 6, 1931, in
Ferryville, the son of Monroe
and Elsie (Haven) Johnson. Jerry graduated from
Gays Mills High
School in 1949. He worked as a farm hand before attending
Iowa State University.
Jerry then moved out west and worked as a ranch hand before he
joined the United Sates Marine Corp. and served his country during
the Korean Conflict. Following his honorable discharge, he graduated
from the
University of Wisconsin
at LaCrosse with his bachelor’s degree. Jerry was united in marriage
to Violet Meyers on September 1,
1956. After his marriage, he attended the
University of Wisconsin at Madison
where
he earned a master’s degree in Geography. Jerry also obtained a
master’s degree in Guidance from the
University of Wisconsin at
Platteville. He taught in the
Wauzeka school system for four
years, before moving to Bloomington where he was a teacher until his
retirement in 1987. Jerry was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church
in Bloomington and served on the original parish council. He was
also a member of the Abraham Hickok
Wetmore American Legion Post No. 148 of Bloomington and
served as St. Mary’s Cemetery and Bloomington Cemetery caretaker for
several years. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and
gardening, especially roses.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Johnson, Bloomington; their
children: Dan (Nilda) Johnson,
Gainesville, FL; Mike (Cheryl) Johnson,
Cedar Rapids, IA; Michelle (Roger
Given) Johnson, Colorado Springs, CO;
Mark (Katrina) Johnson, Edgerton;
seven grandchildren; his brother and sisters: Harriet Johnson,
Lancaster; Marian Johnson, Gays Mills; Joan (Al) Steffes,
West Bend; Betty Johnson,
Soldier’s Grove; John Johnson, Gays Mills; and Jean Ritter,
Florence, CO; other relatives and
many friends.
In addition to his
parents, Jerald was preceded in death by a son, Terry Johnson in
2004, and his brothers, James and Judd Johnson.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s
Catholic Church in Bloomington with Father John Meinholz
officiating. Burial with military honors was in St. Mary’s
Cemetery, Bloomington. Family and friends called on Friday,
December 2, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s
Church in Bloomington and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of
services at the church. Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington is
assisting the family.
Jon L. Johnson
Jon L. Johnson,
age 60, of Bagley, died Sunday, January 6, 2008 at home.
He was born October 1, 1947 in Cuba City, WI, the son of Lyle
and Patricia (Doser) Johnson.
Jon graduated from Potosi High School.
He married Gwendolyn M. Brinkman on May 28, 1966 at St.
Charles Catholic Church, Cassville.
Jon was employed at the former Dubuque Packing Company.
After its closure, he became an over the road owner/operator
truck driver for Warren Transport.
He dearly enjoyed spending time with his family.
Jon and Gwen also enjoyed
boating and fishing on the Mississippi River and traveling on their
Harley’s.
Jon is survived by his
wife, Gwen, Bagley; two sons: Jon
Johnson, Jr., Cassville
and Jim (Linda) Johnson, Waukesha; grandchildren:
Sara, Amber, Jacob, Jasen, Justin, Verity, Peter, Jessica,
Haley and Celia; and three great-grandchildren:
Alexis, Gavin and Hailey; his father, Lyle Johnson, Potosi;
two brothers: Donald
(Nancy) Johnson and Robert Johnson, both of Potosi; his
mother-in-law, Eileen Brinkman, Cassville; brothers and
sisters-in-law, Joyce Fishnick, Cassville; Gary (Carol) Brinkman,
Cassville; Sandra (Gary) Adams, Cassville; Rick Brinkman, Cassville;
Pat (Dave) Udelhoven, Soldatna, Alaska; Renee (Mick) Liebfried,
Potosi; Mike Brinkman, Cassville and Jeff Brinkman, Cassville; many
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death
by his mother, Patricia Johnson; grandson, Jon Paul Johnson; his
father-in-law, Peter Brinkman and his brother-in-law, Walter
Fishnick.
Funeral services was held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 10:30
a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville with Father John
officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Settlement Cemetery,
Cassville. Visitation
was held Tuesday, January 8, 2008 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Martin
Funeral Home in Cassville.
Friends also called after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the
funeral home.
Pebble G. Johnson
Pebble G.
Johnson, age 46, of Hurricane Mills, TN, formerly of
Lancaster, died on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at her residence.
She was born on March 14, 1963, in Lancaster, the
daughter of Glenn and Janice (Hough) Knapp.
Pebble graduated from Lancaster
High School in 1981.
She attended Southwest
Technical College
in Fennimore. Pebble was employed at
Grant
Regional Health
Center
as a Medical Billing Specialist. On July 25, 1998, she was united in
marriage to Randy Johnson at the Little Brown Church in
Nashua,
IA. In 2008, Randy and
Pebble moved to Hurricane Mills, TN. She was
employed as a Medical Billing Specialist for the Outsource
Group. Pebble loved spending time with her
children and family. She also enjoyed her
pets and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Randy, Hurricane Mills,
TN; her daughters, Ashley Reynolds, Waverly, TN; Taylor
Wilkinson, Potosi; her mother-in-law, Judy Johnson, Hurricane
Mills, TN; her sister, Colleen Helgerson, Dubuque, IA; other
relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Pebble was preceded in death
by her daughter, Lindsey Reynolds and her father-in-law.

Saturday, March 28, 2009, at
12:00 p.m.

was in Hillside

Lancaster.

Russell W. Jones
Russell W. Jones, age 80, of Potosi, died on
Monday, May 23, 2011, at Grant Regional Health Center, Lancaster. He
was born on December 3, 1930, in Mineral
Point, the son of Roy and Lavern (Crapp) Jones. Russell
graduated from Rewey High School. On June 19, 1954, he was united in
marriage to Betty A. Schoenauer at Davies Memorial Church in Potosi.
Russell was employed at Dubuque John Deere Works for thirty-one
years. He served as a volunteer on the Potosi
Rescue Squad and Fire Department
for many years. Russell was a lifelong member of Davies Memorial
Church in Potosi, where he held several offices. He was also a
member of the Potosi Lions Club. Russell enjoyed fishing and
gardening. He loved spending time with his family, especially his
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years,
Betty Jones, Potosi; children: Barb (Randy) Patzner, Stillman
Valley, IL; Donna (Allan) Curtis, Potosi; Sandy (Tim) Wiest,
Fennimore; Rick (Joanne) Jones, Knoxville, TN; nine grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; two brothers: Ronnie (Myrtle) Jones,
Frankfort, KY; Leroy (Marlene) Jones, Platteville; and one sister:
Gaye Peacock, Hazel Green.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded
in death by three sisters: Evelyn, Corrine, and Linda; and one
brother, Nelson.
Funeral services were held
on Friday, May 27, 2011, at 11:00 a.m.
at Davies Memorial Church in Potosi with Pastor Petra Streiff
officiating. Burial was in Van Buren
Cemetery, Potosi Township. Family and friends called
on Thursday, May 26, 2011, from 4:00 p.m.
until 7:00 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home in Potosi and
on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until
time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a
Russell W. Jones Memorial Fund has been established.
