Eunice M. ZenzEunice M. Zenz, age 74, of Parks, Arkansas, formerly of Lancaster, passed from this life June 16, 2011 at her home. She was born on December 1, 1936, in Hazel Green, the daughter of Joseph and Helen Timmerman. After graduating from St. Clara Academy in Sinsinawa, WI, she married Larry Zenz on October 15, 1955, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hazel Green. Together they operated the family farm, Zenz Welding and Manufacturing, and raised seven children. Eunice enjoyed playing bridge, traveling the world with Larry, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Her kindness, thoughtfulness and compassion left an indelible mark on both her family and many friends. Surviving are her husband, Larry and their seven children; Julie Zenz of Lancaster,WI, Jane (Dr. Michael) Karleskint of Sherman, TX, Jim (Linda) Zenz of De Kalb, IL, Joyce (Matt) Link of Black Earth, WI, Jean (Jonathan) Ackerman of North Granby, CT, Joe (Shari) Zenz of Lancaster, WI, and Jennifer (Bryce) Bellinder of Prairie du Sac, WI; 16 grandchildren; four brothers and a sister, Bob Timmerman, Jim (Alice) Timmerman, Dick (Judy) Timmerman, Ellen (Herb) Westemeier, Dan (Karen) Timmerman, one sister-in-law Ann (Warren) Zeigle, and brother-in-law Ben Koeller, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters-in-law, Rosemary Koeller and Ann Timmerman. Funeral Services were held on Friday, July 8, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father William Seipp, Father Bart Timmerman and Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Family and friends called on Thursday, July 7, 2011, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster, where a 3:45 p.m. rosary will be held. Friends may also call on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Florence I. ZenzFlorence I. Zenz, age 68, of Lancaster, died Friday, January 11, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, IA. She was born on November 3, 1939 in Eastman, WI; the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Maas) Muntz. She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1957. After high school, Florence made Mass bread at St. Dominic Villa in Dubuque. She married Anthony Zenz on July 31, 1976 in Dubuque and together they farmed in the Lancaster area. Florence enjoyed watching the Cubs and the Bears; loved cooking, canning, and crocheting; and collected Cubs memorabilia and elephants. She always enjoyed taking care of kids and dearly loved her grandchildren. She attended all her grandchildren’s games and school activities. She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Muntz, Guttenberg, IA; seven stepchildren: Diane (Mike) Audetat, Debra (Daniel) McPhail, and James (Robin) Zenz, all of Lancaster; Jerry (Becki) Zenz, North Fond du Lac; and John Zenz, Paul (Susan) Zenz, and Michael (Jeanne) Zenz, all of Lancaster; 15 grandchildren; her brothers and sisters: Margie (Lyle) Smith, Durango, IA; Frank (Nellie) Muntz, Englewood, FL; Joan Nauman, Dubuque, IA; Dan (Rose) Muntz, Sedalia, MO; Betty (Ron ) Gile, Dubuque, IA; and Joe (Betty) Muntz, Guttenberg, IA; nieces and nephews; and special friends, Joel (Renee) Vesperman and their children, Jared, Jade, and Jena, all of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony, on September 28, 2005; her father; her brother, Jake Muntz; and her nephew, Billy Muntz. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father John Norder officiating. Burial was in St. Clement Cemetery, South Lancaster Township. Visitation was held on Monday, January 14, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
