Arlene E. Freymiller

LANCASTER - Arlene E. Freymiller, age 81, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017, at Grant Regional Health Center, Lancaster. She was born on November 5, 1935, in Lancaster, the daughter of Wendell and Esther (Buss) Taylor. Arlene graduated from Lancaster High School in 1953. She worked as a secretary for Grant County Register of Deeds and Lancaster School District for many years. Arlene was later employed as a CNA at Orchard Manor Nursing Home. She enjoyed walking her shelties, caring for her three-legged cat, traveling, dining out, visiting the library, watching dramas and football, and soaking in the sun. Her grandchildren brought her much joy.

Survivors include her three children: Tim (Donna) Fruit, Jill (George) Marin, and Lyn Freymiller; four grandchildren: Elisha and Suzie Marin and Amanda and Andrea Fruit; sister, Evelyn Rand; other dear family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by a son, Randy Freymiller; her brother-in-law, Donald Rand; nephew, John Rand.

Private family memorial services and burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels and/or Grant County Humane Society in memory of Arlene, PO Box 204, Albert Lea, MN 56007. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is entrusted with her care.
