Candy Jo Runde

LANCASTER – Candy J. Runde, age 47, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Lancaster Health Services in Lancaster. She was born on February 28, 1974, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of David and Judy (Kallenberger) Grattan. Candy attended Lancaster High School. She worked various jobs before she began a career in bartending at Yesterdaze in Beetown. Candy purchased the bar and in 2010 she sold the bar due to health issues. Candy enjoyed raising her family, fishing, coloring, computer games and arts and crafts. She dearly loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her three children: Samantha (Timothy) Nelson; Honesti and Synger Runde; four grandchildren: TJ, Stehl, Charlie and Bailey Nelson; her parents, David and Judy Grattan; her siblings: Rob (Tanya) Little; Sean (Jenny) Little; Travis (Becki) Grattan; Angela (Danny) Adams; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Candy's life will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021, from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. at the Beetown Hall, Beetown. Private family burial will be held in Beetown Cemetery, Beetown, with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
