Dennis C. Paulus

Dennis C. Paulus, age 60, of Bloomington, WI, passed away with his family at his side on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie Du Chien, WI. He was born August 6, 1958 the son of Charles and Loris (Clark) Paulus. Dennis married Judy Enke on May 5, 1990, and they enjoyed twenty-five years together before she passed in 2015. In his free time, Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards and pool. He was a proud member of the Bloomington Volunteer Fire Department and took time to support the American Legion in Bloomington by volunteering to help with many of their events.

Dennis is survived by his father, Charles Paulus; siblings: Kris (Jeff) Reuter, John (Cathie) Paulus, Jo Marie (Bill) Moore, and Cynthia Paulus; a brother-in-law, Mark Moris; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews; and many members of the Enke family.

In addition to his wife, Judy, Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Loris; a sister, Amy Moris; a great-niece, Haven Rozevink, and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 27, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bloomington with Fr. John Meinholz officiating. Burial will be in the Union Nagle Cemetery, Patch Grove. Family and friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bloomington where a 1:45 p.m. prayer service will be held. Visitation will also be held Monday, August 27, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Dennis C. Paulus Memorial Fund has been established. The Martin Schwartz Funeral Homes and Crematory of Bloomington is entrusted with his services.
