Dickie L. Redman

Dickie L. Redman, age 71, of Prairie du Chien, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien. He was born on July 9, 1947, in Prairie du Chien, the son of Floyd and Lola (Oates) Redman. Dick graduated from West Grant High School in 1965. On November 11, 1967, he was united in marriage to Ruth Quick at the Patch Grove Methodist Church. After their marriage, he farmed for many years. Dick was also employed with Prairie Industries as a Project Manager for 18 years. He enjoyed operating his bulldozer and working on projects as he could fix or build anything. Dick loved social gatherings and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He truly enjoyed picking on those near and dear to him.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Ruth; their children: Rod (Linda); Craig (Angie); Gina; Brian (Lindsey) Redman; 12 grandchildren: Samantha, Jordan, Carson, Cohen, Arabella, Dax, Anthony, Brandon, Conner, Ava, Natalie and Bennett; a brother, Phil (Whiz) Redman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda; a grandson, Damien; and a brother, Jerry.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Patch Grove with Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial will be in Union Nagle Cemetery, Patch Grove Township. Family and friends may call on Friday, November 9, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Dick L. Redman Memorial Fund has been established. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Bloomington is entrusted with his care.
