Donald J. Busher

WATERTOWN – Donald J. Busher, age 68, of Watertown, formerly of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at UW Hospital and Clinics in Madison. He was born on July 2, 1952, in Lancaster, the son of Lenneth and Barbara (Brechler) Busher. Donald graduated from Lancaster High School in 1971. He enlisted in the United States Army and served his county for six years, stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, Ft. Gordon, GA, and Aschaffenburg, Germany. Donald returned to the United States for a short time then returned to Berlin, Germany, where he was honorably discharged. He attended Southwest Wisconsin Technical College for Appliance Repair. He was employed with Edward's Repair until 1986, when he took a position at Thermolyne in Dubuque, IA. Donald enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his children: Michael (Melissa) Busher and Elizabeth (Ben) Nicolai; six grandchildren: Lauren, Natalie, Brandon, Savannah, Wyatt, and Owen; a brother, Dave (Mary Pat) Busher; a sister, Charlene Busher; other relatives and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Laura.
Private family graveside services and military honors will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
