Laura T. Rauch

PLATTEVILLE - Laura T. Rauch, age 90, of Platteville, formerly of Cassville, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at Manor Care in Platteville. She was born September 11, 1927 in Cassville Township the daughter of Philip and Sarah (Rogers) Giesen. Laura graduated from Cassville High School and married Carson Rauch on November 27, 1947 in Cassville. In her free time she enjoyed bowling, fishing on the Mississippi, crocheting, sewing, walking, reading, playing cards, traveling, and spending time on her computer.

Laura is survived by her daughters: Carol Rauch and Corrine Rauch; a son-in-law, Dan Cooper; two grandchildren: Kim (Dale) Feiner and Shawn Cooper; one great-granddaughter, Nicole Feiner; a brother, Robert (Gloria) Giesen; Sisters-in-laws: Darlene Giesen, Gretchen (Ray) Lawrence, and Florence Kafar; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Carson; a daughter, Catherine Cooper; a grandson, Steven Cooper; four brothers: Thomas, William, Arthur, and Donald Giesen; a sister, Eunice Hauk; and a special friend, Keith Adrian.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2017 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville with Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Cassville. Family and friends may call on Friday, November 10, 2017 at St. Charles Catholic Church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville is serving the family.
