Lorraine Evelyn Bierman

Lorraine Evelyn Bierman, age 95 of Bloomington, WI, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Morningside Assisted Living in Lancaster. She was born August 29, 1923 the daughter of Arthur and Frances (Bohnenkamp) Fangman. On February 20, 1946 Lorraine married John Bierman at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomington. Lorraine loved to play euchre and 500. She also enjoyed quilting beautiful quilts with a group of friends. She was a good cook and pie maker and made many meals for family and friends. Lorraine was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomington, its Altar Society, and Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court of St. Therese #1006.

Surviving are her children: Dan (Lisa) Bierman, Mary (Jerry) Meyer and Arthur Bierman; grandchildren: Matt (Jihean Lee), Josh (Lara), John (Lora) Bierman, Brian (Jeannie) Meyer, Denise (Tim) Jones and Kris Meyer; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Haylee, Colton, Lindsey, Taylor, Nick, Brynn, Eliot, Amelia, Logan, and one on the way; her brother, Ed (Evelyn) Fangman; and a sister-in-law, Agnes Breuer.

In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband John; a sister Lou Mae Fangman; brothers: John and Charles Fangman; and many brother and sister-in-laws.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomington with Fr. John Meinholz officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Monday March 4, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services, where an 8:45 a.m. rosary will be prayed. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory of Bloomington is assisting the family.
