Mayre P. Klein

Mayre P. Klein, age 77, of Cassville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on February 21, 1944, in Chicago, IL. Mayre served her country in the United States Army until her honorable discharge. On June 11, 1966, she was united in marriage to Maurice "Morrie" Klein, and together they farmed and raised five sons. Mayre also worked at the Lancaster Feeder Pig Barn and the Beetown Bloomington Sale Barn. She dearly loved spending time with her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren. Mayre was a spitfire and told it how it was. She was known best for her homemade bread and her garden.
Survivors include her five sons: Scott (Chris); John (Margo); Jason "Jake"; Travis (Kim); and Chad (Angela) Klein; 16 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Morrie, Mayre was preceded in death by a grandson, Mason Joel Klein, and a niece, Katie Klein Barrios.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date along with military honors at Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. In lieu of plants and flowers, cards of condolences in Mayre's memory may be mailed to Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory, PO Box 30, Lancaster, WI 53813. The Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Cassville is assisting the family.
