Melvin W. Flesch

April 26, 1940 — May 21, 2020

Melvin William Flesch, age 80, of Boscobel, died on Thursday, May 21, 2020, at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals in Madison, after a short illness of lung cancer. He was born on April 26, 1940, in Lancaster, the son of Arthur and Ruby (Pagel) Flesch. Melvin attended Lancaster schools and graduated from Lancaster High School in 1959. He furthered his education at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore. On May 27, 1967, he was united in marriage to Nana Kinch, and together they had three children. Melvin was employed in Lancaster and Beloit before moving to Boscobel. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, and being with his dogs and cat.
Survivors include his children: James, Boscobel; Jerret, California; Josette, Wisconsin; three grandchildren; his sisters: Norma (Clinton) Bass, Beloit; Betty (Eugene) Clifton, Rockford, IL.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family grave side services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2020, at Little Grant Cemetery, Little Grant Township. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is serving the family.
The family would like to thank the Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital, the rescue squads, and the University Hospitals doctors and nurses for their excellent care of Melvin.
