Nola M Funk

Nola M. Funk, age 96, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018, at Atrium Post Acute Care of Lancaster. She was born on February 24, 1922, in Wisconsin, the daughter of Lester and Ollie (Edwards) Schneider. Nola graduated from Lancaster High School. On August 8, 1942, she was united in marriage to J. Milton Funk in rural Bloomington. Nola was employed as a telephone operator for many years. The couple retired in 1976 and moved to Florida in October of 1981. Together they enjoyed camping and traveling. They returned to Lancaster in May of 2004. Milton preceded Nola in death on July 14, 2004. Nola enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre, Hearts and Solitaire. She dearly loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Milton, Nola was preceded in death by her brothers: Russell, Kenneth, Virgil and Doris Schneider.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster with Pastor Mark Weaver officiating. Per Nola's request, there will be no visitation. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is serving the family.
