Paul Edward Burrows

Paul Edward Burrows, age 62, of Belmont, WI and formerly of St. Cloud, FL, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 after a short battle with cancer. He was born May 15, 1957 the son of Bruce and Clarissa (Birtciel) Burrows. On February 12, 1980, Paul married Lillian Allen, and together they shared many years of happiness together. Paul was a dairy worker for a number of years at various dairies and also was employed in an auto salvage yard. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, puzzles, and his brew. Paul loved to read and was an accomplished poet. His poetry was printed in various publications – including Readers’ Digest, World of Poetry, and numerous newspapers.

Paul is survived by his wife, Lillian, of 39 years; five brothers: Bruce Jr. Burrows of Meadville, PA, Douglas Burrows of Tollesburg, KY, Rick Burrows of Macon, GA, Steve (April) Burrows of St. Cloud, FL, and Scott (Lynn) Burrows of Mableville, AR; three sisters: Christine Mitchell of Polk, PA, Cathy (John) Barnett of Astabulla, OH, and Ruth Stewart of Belmont, WI; 31 nieces and nephews, and 35 great-nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Clarissa Burrows; his paternal grandparents, James Henry Madison Burrows and Gertrude Hannah (Carlson) Burrows; maternal grandparents, Charles Dennis Birtciel and Clarissa (Frank) Birtciel; two brothers: Keith and Randy Burrows; a sister-in-law, Donna Burrows; and a nephew, John Burrows.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal services with a private family gathering at a later date. The Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory of Platteville is assisting the family.
