Paul J. Stoney

Paul J. Stoney, age 65, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at Atrium Post Acute Care in Lancaster. He was born January 8, 1952, the son of Arthur and Dorothy (Weidman) Stoney. Paul graduated from Lancaster High School in 1970. He married Louise A. Doyle on March 24, 1973, in Muscoda. Paul was employed at Dubuque Insulation and Siding Company. He later drove truck for the former Southwest Logistics Company. Paul was a jack of all trades and was proud to help anyone in need. He enjoyed working on cars and with his son on their Stoney Racing Team. Paul was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, and going to tractor pulls.
Survivors include his loving wife, Louise; a son, Mark (fiancé Jamie Lenz) Stoney; 4 grandsons: Ethan, Nolan, Aiden, and Anthony; his siblings: Kate (Jim) Flynn; Mary (Grant) Edge; Joyce Daniels; John (Deb) Stoney; Patty (Ronald) Fritz; Gary (Cindy) Stoney; Shirley (Royce) Wehrle; 2 sisters-in-law: Sharon and Julie Stoney; many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leo and Walter; a brother-in-law, Victor Daniels; a nephew, David Stoney.
In keeping with Paul's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory, 1234 S Madison St., Lancaster. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
