Roger G. Allbee

Roger G. Allbee, age 73, of Potosi, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 10, 2020, at UW Hospitals & Clinics, Madison. He was born on May 13, 1946, in Lancaster, the son of Frank and Dorothy (Potter) Allbee. Roger attended Elmdale rural grade school. He began working for local farmers, operated a fuel truck for Haskins Gas & Oil, and later worked at General Motors in Janesville. On April 22, 1978, Roger was united in marriage to Betty J. Yoose at the First Presbyterian Church in Lancaster. They made their home in Burton and started farming with his brother Bob, later purchasing their own farm, where he milked cows with his wife Betty. Roger was also employed at Ray-O-Vac in Fennimore for over 20 years. He attended the First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed hunting, trapping, riding his Harley and UTV as well as spending time at the Y'Allbee Tubin landing on the Grant River. Roger loved the outdoors especially pushing dirt with his skid steer and keeping up with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife, Betty; their children: Stacy (Jason) Wehausen, Sheila (Jim) Krug, Ryan (Whitney) Allbee, Sheena (Alan) Reynolds; grandchildren: Tanner, Cedar, Oakstan Allbee, Harmony and Calvin Reynolds; a niece, Tammy (Chris) Gollinger, and many more relatives.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brother, Robert "Bob" (Diane) Allbee; a nephew, Rick Allbee; a niece, Joan Anderson.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 13, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory, 1234 S Madison, Lancaster, with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Cemetery, South Lancaster Township. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.
