Sally A. Metcalf

Sally Metcalf, age 67 of Lancaster, WI, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Grant Regional Health Center. She was born November 16, 1954, the daughter of Jack and Mary (Mergen) Metcalf. Sally was a graduate of Cassville High School. She attended cosmetology college in Dubuque, IA and also earned an Associate Degree in accounting from Southwest Technical College. The majority of her accounting career was spent at New Horizons Cooperative in Fennimore and People’s Oil Cooperative in Lancaster where her colleagues became her lifelong friends. Sally was an avid reader, Wisconsin sports fan, history buff, collector, and the family genealogist. She loved long drives along the backroads of Glen Haven where she grew up. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Surviving is her daughter; Sarah (David) Ross; two grandchildren: Elizabeth Ross and David Ross; five siblings: Julie Metcalf Cull, Carol Cale, Cheryl Metcalf, John (Patti) Metcalf, and Larry (Jennifer) Metcalf; 13 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews who were all dear to her heart.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Duane Rowe; her parents, Jack and Mary Metcalf (Huser); two brothers-in-law: David Cale and John Cull; and two nephews: James Cull and Matthew Metcalf.

A visitation will be held at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster, WI from 9:30am until 11:30am on Thursday, April 28th with a funeral service to immediately follow. A private family burial will be held at Hillside Cemetery following the services. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
