Thomas J. Ketchum

Thomas J. Ketchum, age 47, of Lancaster, formerly of Glen Haven, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Grant Regional Health Center, Lancaster, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 14, 1970, in Lancaster, the son of Roland "Hermie" and Rosemary (Martin) Ketchum. Thomas was raised in Glen Haven and attended Mt. Ida School for Special Needs. He has spent the last 24 years at the Lancaster Group Home. Thomas enjoyed his daily rides and routine. He also enjoyed playing Yahtzee and watching game shows, especially Wheel of Fortune and The Price Is Right. Thomas loved music and attending family gatherings. He took joy in meeting new people and was always inquisitive as to what a person's full name was. Thomas had a wonderful memory and appreciated the simple things life had to offer.
Survivors include his mother, Rosemary Ketchum, Glen Haven; his siblings: Sue Johll, La Crosse; Lynn Sollien, Mabel, MN; Edward (Elham) Ketchum, Bradenton, FL; Sherry (Don) Ingvalson, Caledonia, MN; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
In addition to his father, Roland "Hermie", Thomas was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert and William Ketchum and a nephew, Brandon Ketchum.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Glen Haven with Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial will be in Gockel Cemetery, Glen Haven. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Cassville is assisting the family.
