Agnes A. Simpson

Agnes A. Simpson, age 83, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 25, 1935, in Potosi, the daughter of Joseph H. and Mamie M. (Udelhoven). On July 14, 1953, Agnes was united in marriage to A. Edward Simpson in Lancaster. Agnes was a homemaker, farmwife and was also employed in home health care and at Loud Speaker Component. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, knitting, gardening, reading, listening to "old" country music, and puzzles. Agnes dearly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her eight children: Phyllis (John) Galer; Michael (Kristi) Simpson; Anne (Philip) Gullickson; Steve Simpson; Sue (Steve) Felder; Kathy Ames; Tom (Cindy) Simpson; Ed Simpson; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Alma Moris; Bernard "Bernie" Dressler; Catherine Oberfoell; Rose Koppen; Bernadette "Deed" Thole; Clem Dressler; Claire Churchill; Jim Dressler; in-laws, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Agnes was preceded in death by her siblings: Sister Anna Marie Dressler; Virginia "Sis" Brockway; Theresa Martin; Mary Churchill; Joan Edge; in-laws; a nephew and a great-niece.
In keeping with Agnes's wishes, there will be no services. Private family burial will be at a later date. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is entrusted with her care.
