Arleigh M. Wilson, age 89, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020, while under Hospice care at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster due to natural causes. Arleigh was born, as he would say, "9th month, the 9th day of the year 1930. He was born one of ten children to his parents Arthur and Ellen (Poole) Wilson. Arleigh was a proud veteran as he served a tour during the Korean war in the United States Army. On July 14, 1951, he married Ruth Post. He was employed at REA, which later became Grant Electric, for over 40 years where he very much appreciated the friendships he made through the years. He was a member of the William Pollock VFW Post No. 2344 of Lancaster. After retiring from Grant Electric, Arleigh and Ruth relocated to Glen Haven. They loved the town and the friends they made there. He remained there until moving to Lancaster almost three years ago where going to Zippy's for coffee and cards were what he most looked forward to.
Arleigh is survived by his sons: Bill (Deb), Ron (Kathy), John (Diane), David Wilson; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Wilson; his sister, Sharon (Ronnie) Prohaska; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Arleigh's life will be held at a future date, which will be announced. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
