Carl C. Andrews, age 82, of New Berlin, formerly of Cuba City, died Sunday, April 20, 2008 at his home. He was born November 23, 1925, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the son of Charles and Alberta (Clemens) Andrews. He graduated from Cuba City High School. Carl served in the United States Navy during World War II. He attended and graduated from Platteville Teachers College. Carl then earned his masters degree from Colorado College in Colorado Springs. He married Norma J. Krogman on August 17, 1949 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Bloomington, WI. During his teaching career, he taught at West Lima, Hartford, and Bloomington High Schools. Carl was a teacher and vice principal at New Berlin West, and was the founding principal at New Berlin Eisenhower High School. He was also a successful high school coach for both baseball and basketball. He belonged to the New Berlin American Legion Post and was a charter member of VFW Post #8318 in Cuba City. He was a member of Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in West Allis. Carls public service included many years with the New Berlin Park & Recreation Commission, the New Berlin Scholarship Committee, and the New Berlin Optimists. He always put family first and loved travel, golf, all sports, and especially high school sports.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Andrews, New Berlin; two children: David (Sandra) Andrews, Waukesha; and Nancy (Robert) Reitman, Mequon; five grandchildren: Michael Berndt, Megan (Jason) Mays, Sam Berndt, Benjamin Andrews, and Ryan Andrews; one great-grandchild, Avery Mays; two sisters: Ruth (Francis) Eckerman, Madison; and Iva (David) Modrich, Raton, NM; a sister-in-law, Jeanne Carlson, Sussex; five brothers-in-law: James Krogman, Cassville; Ernest (Jean) Krogman, Lancaster; Paul (Nelda) Krogman and Thomas (Evelyn) Krogman, both of Bloomington; and Fr. Philip Krogman, Green Lake; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Lee and Glen Andrews; and a sister-in-law, Mary Krogman.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Bloomington with Father Philip Krogman officiating. Burial, with military honors accorded by the Abraham Hickok Wetmore American Legion Post #148 of Bloomington and the Cuba City VFW Post #8318, was in St. Marys Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 from 4:00 7:00 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington, and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning at the funeral home.
