Carrie A. Hartnett

Carrie Ann Hartnett, age 42, of Lancaster passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at home.
Carrie graduated from Platteville High school in 1998 and continued her education at UW-Platteville. Carrie was currently employed by TDS as an APC Specialist. Which seems like a big fancy title for someone who sat at home on the phone all day.
Carrie touched many lives with her wit and humor without ever leaving her house. Everyone enjoyed her stories on Facebook, which gave insight to her day-to-day life. Whether that was stubbing her toe, cutting herself on a potato chip crumb, ongoing wars with the animals in her yard or her phone conversations with Grandma and Grandpa, just to name a few! She had the ability to tell a story like nobody else and if you were not crying from laughing so hard by the end, you had no sense of humor! If she was not working, she was spending her time and money spoiling her nieces with presents and amazing homemade scrapbooks. She loved and adored these girls from the day they were born.
Carrie is survived by her grandparents, Bev & Buzz Hartnett, sister, Michelle Hartnett (Jake Hipenbecker), nieces: Brienna & Wren, brother, Brandon Hartnett (Carrie), nieces: Quinn & Kennedy, mother, Kathy Bartow (Randy), stepmother, Lois Hartnett, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Hartnett, grandparents: Arnold & Elsie McCartney, an aunt, Becky Schwab, and an uncle, Clayton McCartney.
A private family burial will be held at the Hillside Cemetery in Lancaster WI. A celebration will be held on September 11, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Copper Dome in Lancaster, WI. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
