Cathy J. Carlin

FENNIMORE – Cathy J. Carlin, age 69, of Fennimore, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023, at UW Hospitals & Clinics in Madison, WI.  She was born on September 16, 1953, the daughter of David and Edna (Hurst) Allen.  Cathy graduated from Fennimore High School in 1972 and married Thomas McLimans.  She was employed at Ray-O-Vac and Skyline Homes.  Cathy later married Donald Carlin and they moved to Oelwein, IA, where she was employed at Brown Chiropractic.  She enjoyed shopping, water aerobics, her flower garden, and animals.

Survivors include her daughter, Jodi McLimans; 5 grandchildren: Emily Clark, Victor, Jacob, Joseph, and Lucas Kalb; her siblings: Patsy (Jerry) Hubbard, Ruth (Bill) Klein, Donald (Loretta) Allen, and Ronald Allen.

In addition to her former husband, Donald, Cathy was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Allen and a brother, David Allen, Jr.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral service.  Family and friends may call on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory, 1234 S Madison St., Lancaster. Private family burial will be in Prairie Cemetery, Fennimore, WI.
