Donna M. Raisbeck, age 92, passed on to eternal life on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Lancaster Health Services Center in Lancaster, Wisconsin.
Donna was born at home on May 8, 1933 on the family farm near Cassville, Wisconsin during the Great Depression. Her parents were Arnold and Marie (Esser) Junk. She attended St. Charles Catholic School and graduated from Cassville High School in 1952. She enjoyed being in the school play for three years and was princess on Prom Court her junior year.
Donna met Skip Raisbeck of Bloomington, the love of her life, her junior year of high school. They were united in marriage two years later on April 6, 1953. They were married 64 years before Skip passed away on September 8, 2017. They raised their family and operated the Raisbeck family farm. She also worked at Schurman’s Wisconsin Cheese Country in Beetown, Wisconsin for many years.
Donna was active in St. Mary's Parish in Bloomington and she was a member of Christian Mothers, St. Elizabeth Study Club and Red Hat Society. She assisted with local elections and volunteered at Orchard Manor. She was in a bowling league and was once the president of the league organization. She had many interests such as gardening, baking, crafting and reading. She enjoyed traveling, gambling and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include Donna and Skip's children: Steve, Pat (Barb), Chuck (Julie), Ron, Jim, Dan (Lori) Raisbeck, Connie (Mike) Redman and Kerry (Carl) Blum. In addition, she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law: Wayne and Arlene Junk; as well as 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Skip; her siblings and in-laws: Gerald (Sis) Yunk, Loren (Betty) Junk, Myrna (Harold) Clark, Arnold (Pat) Junk Jr., Shirley (Ron) Bowers, Grenalda (Richard) Metcalf, Francis (Erlyn) Raisbeck and John (Angela) Raisbeck.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the Bloomington St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Sudhakar officiating. The burial will be in the Dodge Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Bloomington is assisting the family. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Donna Raisbeck Memorial Fund has been established.
