FENNIMORE-Douglas Paul LaMore, 59, was welcomed into the loving arms of the Lord on July 10, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Though we mourn his loss, we find comfort in knowing he is now in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Doug was born on July 20, 1964, in Kankakee, Illinois. He spent his childhood in Merrillville, Indiana, then moved to Arizona as a young adult. He met and married his beloved wife, Cathy, and together, they built a beautiful family and were blessed with 31 years of marriage. Doug and Cathy raised their three children and eventually moved to Fennimore, Wisconsin.
Doug was a man of many passions and talents. He enjoyed playing video games, golfing, and playing the guitar. His career as a semi-conductor technician made lasting impacts through his hard work and dedication.
He was a devoted father who took immense pride in his children and their accomplishments. Doug was also a beloved "Pawpaw" to his two grandchildren Luke and Emily, whom he adored and cherished every moment spent with them.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cathy, and their children: Taylor (married to Ryan), Nathan, and Bailey. He is also survived by his father, Louis Arevalo; his siblings, Jeff, Dala, Cris, Elena (Clifton), and David (Amanda); and many nieces and nephews.
Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Arevalo, who is now reunited with him in Heaven.
Family and friends were at the heart of Doug's life. He loved spending time with them, creating countless memories filled with love and laughter. His strong-willed and protective nature was a source of comfort to those around him.
A Celebration of Doug's Life will be held on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, at Bethany Alliance Church in Fennimore, WI, at 11:00 a.m.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we grieve, we hold fast to the promise of resurrection and eternal life, finding peace in the knowledge that Doug is now in the loving arms of our Lord. May he rest in peace until we meet again in glory. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory of Lancaster is assisting the family.
