Eileen E. White

POTOSI – Eileen E. White, age 70, of Potosi, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2017, at home surrounded by her family. She was born May 30, 1947, in Kendall, WI, the daughter of Merle Sr. and Helen (Schaefer) Pergande. She attended Hazel Green school. On April 8, 1967, Eileen was united in marriage to Ralph White Sr. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dubuque. Together they had five children. She raised her family as a stay at home mom before entering customer service at Swiss Colony; retiring in 1998 due to her health. Eileen loved to spend time with her family, especially the grandkids. She enjoyed country music, fishing, camping, cooking, crafts, and watching humming birds.
Eileen is survived by her husband, Ralph Sr.; three sons: Ralph “Rudy” Jr.; Robert (Starla) Sr., and Michael (Heather) White, all of Potosi; two daughters: Tara (Tom) Pluemer, and Julie White, of Potosi; fifteen grandchildren; three brothers: Richard (Judy) Pergande, Hazel Green; Daniel (Doris) Pergande and Ron Pergande, both of Dubuque, IA; a sister, Judy (Bobby) Johnson, Dubuque, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by two brothers: Herman Sr. and Merle Pergande Jr.; and two sisters: Mary Jo Pergande and Deb Wallace.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the Martin Schwartz Funeral Home and Crematory in Potosi with Rev. Jim McMahon officiating. Burial will be in British Hollow Cemetery, Potosi. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Martin Schwartz Funeral Home and Crematory in Potosi and on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of plants and flowers, an Eileen E. White Memorial Fund has been established. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Potosi is assisting the family.
