Jacqueline “Jackie” Verna (Thiele) Rader passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30th, 2025, in Barrington, Illinois, with her family.
Jackie was born and raised in the Lacrosse, Wisconsin area on December 30, 1928, to Verna (Hagen) Thiele and Henry George Thiele. She was wed to John R. Rader on June 28, 1952, and they raised their family in Marion, Iowa. They enjoyed time with the grandchildren in Springville, Iowa and then moved to Lancaster, WI. A woman of conviction, her unwavering belief in God guided her through life’s challenges and joys alike. Her strength was matched only by her warmth and sense of humor.
Jackie had a quick wit and a love of laughter that brought comfort and joy to those around her. Whether sharing a joke, telling a story, or simply spending time with family and friends, she had a gift for making people feel like family.
Hardworking and devoted, Jackie was happiest when surrounded by loved ones. Her life reflected her steadfast values: faith, family, and finding joy in everyday moments.
She is survived by her son Mike (Cindy) Rader, Mary (Issa) Handal, her grandchildren Derek (Kaitlyn) Rader, Daren (Emily) Rader, and Hannah Handal. Jackie now joins her beloved husband, John Rader, her son, Mark Rader, and her granddaughter Heidi Handal.
A private family service was held in her honor on Monday, July 7th, 2025, at Hillside Cemetery in Lancaster, WI with Pastor Mark Dieter officiating.
Jackie will be remembered always for her strength, her laughter, and her unwavering faith in Jesus.
