Janet R. Breuer

Janet Rose Breuer, age 58, of Cassville, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Lancaster with her family by her side.  She was born on August 27, 1965, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Marilyn J. (Hampton) Breuer.  Janet attended Cassville Schools, Twin Platte in Platteville, and later Southwest Opportunities Center in Lancaster.  She has been a resident of Orchard Manor Nursing Home for the past six years, where she would often be seen walking the halls.   Janet was an avid fan of Garth Brooks and enjoyed listening to country music.  She also enjoyed dancing, word search, and picking on people. Janet dearly loved her family and family picnics and holidays.  She had magic fingers and could give the best massage.  Janet was a blessing to all who knew her.

Survivors include her siblings: Phyllis Nodorft, Paul Breuer, Alberta Pfaff, Gerald (Susan) Breuer, Viola (Mark Reger) Pfaff, Dolores (Dwaine) Meyer, Lester (Ann McCarville-O’Brien) Breuer, Donita (Fred) Gruender, Brenda Breuer, Julita (Don) Singleton, Zelda (John) Fried, Karla (Dave Wilkening) Fishnick; brother-in-law, George Lenzendorf; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Albert and Marilyn, Janet was preceded in death by her siblings: Rosetta Lenzendorf and Mark Breuer; brothers-in-law: James Nodorft, LeRoy Pfaff, and Kyle Fishnick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville with Father Sudhakar Devarapu officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Settlement Cemetery, Cassville.  Family and friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.   Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Cassville is assisting the family.
