Jason W. Hugill, age 37, of Lancaster, died on Sunday, August 24, 2008, in Lancaster. He was born on November 12, 1970, in Dodgeville, the son of William and Joann (Colson) Hugill. Jason attended school in Fennimore. On June 17, 2005, he was united in marriage to Shali Morrow in Lancaster. After their marriage, the couple resided in Lancaster. Jason was employed as a mill worker in Lancaster. He loved bow hunting, fishing, watching UFC fights, socializing and spending time with his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and was loved by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Shali Hugill of Lancaster; his step-children: Shea Bennett, Platteville; Chelsea Bennett, Lancaster; Tashia, Lancaster; his children: Taylor Kartman, Colton Kartman, Caden Kartman, all of Fennimore; his parents: William and Joann Hugill, Lancaster; his brothers and sisters: Chad (Christy) Hugill, Fennimore; Troy (Sheri) Hugill, Platteville; Heather (John Chyko) Hugill, Lancaster; Tracy (Matthew) Smith, Cross Plaines; Stacey Hugill, Lancaster; Travis Hugill, Lancaster; mother and father-in-law: Lyle and Karen Morrow, Lancaster; close friend, Derek Millin, Lancaster; other relatives and many friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents: Wilbur and Alice Colson and Harold and Charlotte Hugill, his great-grandmother: Nora Hugill and great-grandfather, Arch Hugill.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 28, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home in Lancaster with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Private family burial was at a later date. Friends called on Thursday, August 28, 2008, from 3:00 p.m. until time of services.
