He was born on September 20, 1939, in Greenwood, WI, the son of Ferdinand and Celia (Wilson) Langreck. Joe graduated from Greenwood High School in 1957.  He enlisted in the United States Army and served his country from 1958 – 1960.  Throughout his life, Joe's journey was characterized by resilience, determination, and an unwavering dedication to his family, carrying forward the values instilled by his parents. On February 11, 1961, Joe was united in marriage to Mary C. Kille at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Hewitt, Wisconsin. In 1972, Joe and Mary moved to Lancaster where he was employed at Skyline in Lancaster as the Plant Manager for 30 years, where he dedicated himself to the company's success and the well-being of its employees, leaving an indelible mark on both the workplace and the lives of those he worked alongside. Joe's most profound source of pride and joy were his five children. Together, they weathered life's highs and lows, their connection transcended mere affection; it was a harmonious journey that molded a family deeply rooted in the profound values of love and unity. In his leisure time, Joe had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying gardening, fishing, and friendly card games, like cribbage, euchre, and sheepshead. He also had a knack for crafting delicious Bloody Mary cocktails. Joe was known as the life of the party, always ready to create lasting memories. He shared a strong bond with his brothers and sisters, especially during card games, reaffirming the importance of family throughout his life. Joe was a devoted member of St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster. While some may have characterized him as occasionally gruff, deep down, he had a heart of gold and was a pillar of unwavering support for those who knew him.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary, and their five children: Mark (Kathy), Diana Reynolds, Mitch (Peggy), Matt (Molly), and Darla (Tim Hoffman).
