Lancaster

LANCASTER - Justin D. Hampton, age 44, of Lancaster, WI, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025.

Justin was born on February 28, 1981, in Prairie du Chien, WI, to Daniel Hampton and Rose Key. He grew up in Lancaster, WI, and over the years also lived in Madison, Sun Prairie, and Beetown with his family.

Justin was a kind and devoted man who truly loved his wife and children. He enjoyed spending time outdoors: hiking, camping, a scenic drive or simply visiting someplace new with his family. He loved playing board games with his kids and spending time in his garage, working on projects and fixing anything and everything that needed his skilled hands. He was remarkably talented in many trades. There was little he couldn’t figure out or repair; and if he didn’t know how, he’d make it his mission to learn.

He loved putting his skills to work through his business, Hampton Home Services, and always did his best to help people improve and care for their homes. He found purpose not just in the work itself, but in being someone people could count on, and he did it all to care for his family, who was his whole world.

Justin is survived by his loving wife, Becky (Klaas) Hampton; their children, Haley, Whitney, and Owen; his step-father, Mark Udelhofen; his sisters, Holly Hampton and Season Hampton; his step-siblings, Cole (Kayla) Udelhofen and Kristin (Gabe) Smutz; his brothers-in-law, Brandon (Kessa) Klaas and Brad (Jessica) Klaas; his sister-in-law, Brianna (Shane) Reuter; and many other extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Justin is preceded in death by his parents Daniel Hampton and Rose Key; maternal grandparents Nicholas and Mary (Mason) Key; paternal grandparents Norbert and Rose (Barr) Key; mother and father-in-law Allen and Jane Klaas.

A celebration of Justin’s life will be held at a later date. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.

Justin will be remembered for his big heart, hardworking spirit, and the love he shared with everyone around him.
