Keith C. Grattan

Keith C. Grattan, age 83, of Bagley, WI, formerly of Cassville, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at his home. He was born February 20, 1936 in Lancaster, the son of H. Merwyn and EllaBelle (Clauer) Grattan. Keith graduated from Cassville High School in 1955. He worked for a time at Schurman’s Cheese Factory, Beetown, WI and Farley & Loetscher, Dubuque, IA while also working on the family farm. In 1968, he purchased the family farm in Beetown Township, which had been in the Clauer family since 1908. He was a hard worker who enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching westerns on television, visiting/teasing with friends & family. The younger generation held a very special place in his heart.

Keith is survived by his siblings: Kathleen Wolfe, Marilyn “Mary” Grattan, Tyrell “Ted” (Zena) Grattan, of Lancaster, David (Judy) Grattan, of Beetown, Kenneth “Ken” (Charlene) Grattan, of Cassville, Roger Grattan, of Bagley, and Rochelle (David) Clifton, of Potosi; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; his niece, Sheri Mumm; his great-nephew, William Ginter; brother-in-law, William Wolfe; and sister-in-law, Beth Grattan.

In keeping with Keith’s wishes, there will be a private family burial at the Cassville Cemetery at a later date. The Martin Schwartz Funeral Home in Cassville is assisting the family.
