 Luella E. Patcle, age 93, of Potosi, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on April 6, 1915 in Potosi Township, WI, the daughter of Leo and Dora (Duve) Leeser. Luella graduated from St. Andrew High School. On September 28, 1937, she married John Patcle at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Potosi. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1969. Luella worked for many years as a nurses aid at Lancaster Memorial Hospital and she also farmed with her husband until his death in rural Potosi. Luella liked to dance, travel, crochet, knit, sew, and play cards.

She is survived by three children: Dorothea (Carl) Blindert, John (Cheryl) Patcle, and Louis (Yolonda) Patcle, all of Potosi; her special friend, Russell Kasparek, Lancaster; 13 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Leeser, Potosi; and Mabel (Merlin) Brandt, Potosi; and a brother-in-law, Frank (Helen) Patcle, Potosi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; one granddaughter at birth; her great-grandson, Brad Welter; and her brother, Joe Leeser.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tennyson with Father Richard Leffler officiating. Burial was in St. Thomas Cemetery, Potosi. Visitation was held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Luella E. Patcle memorial fund has been established.
