Patricia Faye (Ransom) Pritchett, age 89, previously of Beetown, passed away peacefully with family by her side, Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Park Place Memory Care in Platteville following a long battle with dementia. Patricia was born February 10, 1934, to Frank and Veronica (Dempsey) Ransom. She married Chester Pritchett on March 29, 1951, and they had four children. Patricia retired from the United States Postal Service after being the Postmaster in Beetown. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, sewing and many types of crafts. Patricia prepared entries for the fair and had a collection of ribbons. She was involved with CCW at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville. Patricia bowled in a league for many years and enjoyed playing cards with friends. 

Patricia is survived by her daughters: Barbara (Vince) Fishnick of Lancaster, and Bobbie (Sam) Woolf of Grafton; brother, Gary Ransom previously of Cassville; and son-in-law, Cary Cattle of Mauston; 12 Grandchildren: Shannon (Chris) Kreutz, Kenosha, Sandy Cattle, Mauston, Shari (Jeff) Hooker, Mauston, Sheila (Brian) Sliffy, Woodstock, IL, Sara Cattle, Manitowoc, Becky (Craig) Lockman, Waterford, Karen (Jon Crubel) Fishnick, Lancaster, Kelly Fishnick, Elkader, IA, Jacob Woolf, Dallas, TX, Jennifer (Mike Winkelman) Woolf, Fort Worth, TX, Scott (Ellie Hoffart) Woolf, Broomfield, CO, Nathan Woolf, Madison; 14 Great-Grandchildren: Kyle and Kirsten Retzlaff, Ethan, Nick and Noah Kreutz, Chelsey (Kevin) Amlaner, Benjamen Rhue, Marissa and Joey Hooker, Evan and Austin Sliffy, Vincent Wiler, Brayden and Aubrey Lockman; and 6 Great-great Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and Chester’s parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Tommy and daughter Mary Cattle. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville. Burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home and Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.

The family would like to THANK all the caregivers at Morningside Assisted Living in Lancaster, Park Place Memory Care in Platteville and St. Croix Hospice for the many years of kind, loving and compassionate care they provided to Patricia. We are grateful for your dedication and commitment.
