Peggy S. Ewers

Peggy Sue Ewers, age 60, of Lone Rock, passed way on Friday, November 15, 2019, at her home. She was born in Dubuque, IA, at Xavier Hospital to David and Mary (Kirschbaum) Bausch on April 21, 1959. Peggy attended Cassville High School, graduating in 1977. She furthered her education at NICC in Calmar, IA, where she earned a degree in nursing as an LPN. Peggy was employed at Beloit Hospital, Greenway Manor, and Conerstone over the years. On August 11, 1984, she was united in marriage to Dean Ewers at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville. She enjoyed sunsets, catching up on her favorite shows, and going out to eat at her favorite restaurants.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Dean Ewers; their three sons: Chris (Cami); Corey (Jamie); and Kevin (Thea Berg) Ewers; daughter, Caitlin (Michael Grainger) Ewers; three beautiful grandsons: Colton, Corbin, and Blake; her parents, David and Mary Bausch; her mother and father-in-law, Bob and Lola Ewers; her siblings: Rick (Kathy) Bausch; Todd (Tracy) Bausch; Jen (Kurt) Bendorf; her in-laws: Donna (Ernie) Engebertson; Dale (Kim) Ewers; Diane (Terry) Alt; Danny Ewers; Deanna Zimmerman; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bink and Edith Bausch and her maternal grandparents, Edward and Lena Kirschbaum.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 11:15 a.m. at the Lancaster United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Weaver officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Fellowship to follow the service. Clary Memorial Funeral Home and Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
