POTOSI – Raymond Trickle, age 86, of Potosi, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022, at his home. He was born on March 13, 1935, in Rudolph, WI, the son of Roy and Stacta (Aron) Trickle. Raymond attended school in Pittsville, WI, until moving to Platteville to help his uncle on the farm. He was later employed at the Dubuque Packing Company. On May 24, 1958, Raymond was united in marriage to Lila Pickel at the Davies Memorial United Church of Christ in Potosi. After their marriage, the couple raised three children. Raymond retired in 1995 from the Dubuque Packing Company. He enjoyed fishing, tending to his summer garden, squirrel hunting, and camping. Raymond dearly loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be remembered for his wonderful story telling.
Survivors include his children: Denice (Tim) Kruser; Laurie Maahs; Jeffrey Trickle; one grandson, Christopher (Ashlee) Maahs; four great-grandchildren: Xavier, Casady, Raya, and Blake; close family friend, Dakota Marshall; his siblings: Clara (Donald) Schiller; Margaret Trickle; David (Lynn) Trickle; his in-laws: Betty and Donna Trickle; Larry "Honkie" (Dina) Pickel; Jerry (Cheri) Pickel; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Lila, his siblings: Ethel Fuller, Irene Tiffany, Betty Trickle, Shirley Lowe, LeRoy and Larry Trickle and members of the Pickel family.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Potosi. Burial will be in British Hollow Cemetery, Potosi. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
