Rosalia T. Menne

 Rosalia Rosie T. Menne, age 95, formerly of  Potosi, died Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Orchard Manor in rural  Lancaster. She was born on  October 22, 1913 in Jamestown Township,  WI the daughter of Peter and Anna (Wiegman) Wiederholt. Rosalia married Leo Menne on  February 23, 1949 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kieler. He preceded her in death on  March 16, 1976. Together they farmed for many years near  Potosi. Rosalia was a member of St. Andrew Thomas Catholic Church and was a member of the Altar Society. She also volunteered in many of the church activities. Rosalia was also was a member of the Happy Quilters Club in  Potosi and enjoyed gardening.

Rosalia is survived by her daughter, Rita (John) Simonsen, Pardeeville; one sister, Sister Leota Wiederholt, Milwaukee; one brother, Leonard Wiederholt,  Dubuque; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo; a son and daughter in infancy; two brothers, Hilary and Cletus Wiederholt and two sisters, Sister Ann Petrine and Germaine Loeffelholz.

Funeral services were held at  11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tennyson with Father Richard Leffler officiating. Burial was held in  St.  Andrew Cemetery, Tennyson. Family and friends were welcome from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2009 at Martin Funeral Home in Potosi and from10:00 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
