Rosanne Paris, age 83 of Lancaster, WI, entered the kingdom of heaven on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born in Burlington, ND, on December 23, 1935 the daughter of Orley and Viola (Townsend) Shaw Sr. Rosanne married William Paris in Appleton, WI, on December 23, 1955. She was a stay at home mom and housewife when her children were young. With her family grown, Rosanne went to work as a dietary technician at the hospital in Lancaster for many years and was said to be the best cook around. In her free time she enjoyed reading, flower gardening, sewing and crocheting. She liked dogs and loved her cats. Rosanne was also a faithful member of the Mt. Ida Baptist Church. Among all her activities, Rosanne treasured spending time with her family.
Rosanne is survived by her children: Robert (Vicki) Paris, Marion (Robert) Klavitter, Joan (Nathan) Ula, August Paris, and Jennifer (James) Anderson; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lou Nail; a brother, Orley Shaw Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Rosanne was preceded in death by her husband, William; a son, James; her brother, James Shaw; her sister, Phyllis Nible; and a brother-in-law, Jay Nail.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 7, 2019 at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home and Crematory in Lancaster with Pastor John Cathman officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Ida Baptist Church Cemetery, Mt. Ida Township. Family and friends may call on Monday, October 7, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Rosanne Paris Memorial Fund has been established. The Martin Schwartz Funeral Home and Crematory of Lancaster is entrusted with her services.
