Rose Ann Shell

LANCASTER - Rose Ann Sweeney Williams Shell passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024. She was born March 10, 1936, to Carl & Leone Sweeney. She married Dick George Williams June 23, 1954. He passed away in March 1976. She married Bobbie Joe Shell on February 19, 1982.

 Bob and Rose Ann lived a full life of traveling, dancing, playing cards, all kinds of dice and board games and enjoying spending time with the grandkids and great grandkids. They hosted the Card Club Christmas Party every year with mom's special recipes and home-made desserts. They met a lot of people giving dance lessons of which most became lifelong friends. She was a spit fire according to some folks. 

 She is survived by her children Karla (Doug) Wolf, NV, Teri (Kenneth) Miles, WI and Todd (Amy), CO, her stepchildren Rob (Andrea) Shell, WI and Vicki Shell, WI, 15 grandkids, 31 great grandkids, & 5 great-great grandkids with 1 coming in November, sisters: Bonnie Sweeney & husband Don Macie & Judy Brandlin, WI and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, siblings: JoAnn, Sally, Beverly (Bud) Messling, Rodney, Terry, Nicky, brother-in-law Gerry Brandlin, sister-in-law, Irene Sweeney, grandson, Eric Allen Miles, granddaughter, Cory Lynn Wolf Timmerman and great-grandson, Herman Polesky.

 She will be greatly missed.

 A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
