Rosemary Bloodsworth

Rosemary Bloodsworth, age 85, of Potosi, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Lancaster.  She was born on March 16, 1938, in Albia, IA, the daughter of Jared and Hazel (Estlack) Lower.  On September 1, 1964, Rosemary was united in marriage to Richard Bloodsworth, Sr.  After their marriage, Rosemary was a nurse’s aide and a homemaker.  She was a member of the Calvary Community Church in Lancaster.  Rosemary was actively involved in the community, volunteering at Orchard Manor and her time and talents with the Potosi Bible Church.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid reader.

Survivors include a son, Ross; a daughter-in-law, Heather Bloodsworth; a grandson, Joshua and a sister-in-law, Shirley (Joe) Ferraro.

In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Sr., a son, Richard, Jr., a daughter, Wendy, a son, Robin in infancy, and a sister, Ladonna Ogden.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Martin Schwartz Funeral Homes & Crematory in Potosi is assisting the family.
