PLATTEVILLE – Ryan P. Kenkel, age 41 of Platteville, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 21, 1982, the son of Karl and Margaret “Marge” (Wicoff) Kenkel. Ryan graduated from Rockwood Summit High School in Fenton, Missouri. He furthered his education at the University of Missouri – Columbia, with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and Computer Technology. On August 11, 2013, Ryan was united in marriage to Holly A. Ziobro at Gates of Heaven in Madison, Wisconsin. He was employed at the University of Missouri, and most recently with Eaglepoint Software in Dubuque, Iowa. He was a voracious reader, played video games, and received his second degree blackbelt in Karate. His life revolved around his family, especially his children, one of which he delivered.
Surviving is his loving wife: Holly; their children: Alice, April, and Arthur; parents: Karl and Marge; siblings: Lori, Scott (Kelly) and Nathan (Josie) Kenkel; father and mother-in-law: Steve Ziobro and Julie Anderson; brothers-in-law: Blake (Cassie) and Ross Ziobro; a niece: Emma; a nephew: Nolan; his dogs: Sue and Fluffy; and special friends: Nick Confer, Joe Polien, Matt Geeck and Pat McKinney.
In keeping with Ryan’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Family and friends may call on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 10:00 a.m until 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville.
