 Sandra L. Sandy Wagner, age 58, of  Lancaster died on Thursday, January 29, 2009, at St. Marys Hospital in Madison. She was born on May 9, 1950, in Antigo, WI, the daughter of John and  Lorraine (Wellner) Gray. She attended  Peace Lutheran Grade School, and graduated from Lancaster  High School in 1968. On September 28, 1968, she was united in marriage to Larry A. Wagner at the E&R Church in  Lancaster. Larry preceded her in death in 2000. She was employed at the former Lancaster Memorial Hospital and provided in-home daycare.  Sandy began employment with the Lancaster  Community School District as a secretary in 1986. She has been involved in the Guidance Department and later in the middle school office. In July of 2008, Sandy became the head secretary at Winskill Elementary School. She loved spending time with her family and her girls night out group and riding around in her convertible.  Sandy was an active member of the Bethlehem E&R Church, Womens VFW Auxiliary, Lancaster Rescue Squad, Lions Club, Girl Scout Leader, and the Lancaster Relay for Life.  Sandys love and dedication for her family and the well being of others is an inspiration for us all.

Survivors include her children, Lori (Doug) Rider, Linden; Jennifer (Tony) Munson, Lancaster; Tammy (special friend Art Stoney) Wagner, Lancaster; Larry Bud (Misty) Wagner, Jr., Lancaster; Jason (Jen) Wagner, Lancaster; eleven grandchildren: Josh, Emily, Kaitlynn, AJ, Katrina, Nicole, Brenden, Mac, Johnathan, Brent, Eva, and her special grand-dog, Doolie; her brothers: Mike (Jann) Gray, Milwaukie, OR; Donald (Kathy) Gray, Howards Grove; her sister: Bonnie Gray, Linden; her step-mother, Mary Ann Gray, Livingston; her mother-in-law, Arlene (Harold) Wagner, Lancaster; many brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, her parents, her father-in-law, Harold Wagner, a niece, Cindra Wagner, a nephew, Micah Hickman, a great-niece, Zoe Gray and a brother-in-law, Lowell Wagner.

Funeral services were held on  Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at  1:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem  E&R Church in  Lancaster with Rev. Mark Dieter officiating. Burial was in Liberty  Ridge Cemetery, rural  Lancaster. Friends called on Monday, February 2, 2009, from 3:00 p.m. until  8:00 p.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home in  Lancaster and from 12:00 p.m. until time of services at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Sandra L. Wagner memorial fund has been established.
