Sharon L. Cooley

Sharon L. Cooley, age 82, of Lancaster passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 22, 2024, after a brief illness.

Sharon hated long obituaries, so the only thing to leave you with is her best piece of advice. "If it kills you, you'll never have to do it again" That advice was handed out for everything from eating your veggies, cleaning your room and later in life, what seemed to be larger struggles. 

Sharon is survived by her children, Steve (Christy) Cooley of Fennimore, their sons Brian Cooley of Lancaster, Bradley (Lauren Jones) Cooley of Fennimore; Cheryl Orethun of Lancaster and her son Darien (Junie Fong) Orethun of Maine; Michelle Hartline and her daughters, Megan (Joe) Lararia and their son Jace of Lancaster, Abby Hartline of Platteville; as well as two brothers: Dale (Diane) Martin and Jeff Martin both of Washington.  

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no formal services.  Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is entrusted with her care.
