Timothy W. Schiffman

Timothy W. Schiffman, age 18, of Bellevue and Lancaster died suddenly on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at his home.

Funeral services were held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2008 at the Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster with Pastor Shane Koepke officiating. Private family burial was at a later date. Family and friends were welcomed from 2:00 p.m. until time of services Monday at the funeral home.

There will also be a Memorial service at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in St. Donatus, Iowa.

Tim was born on May 8, 1990 in Lancaster, WI, the son of William Schiffman and Susan Kipper. He was a senior at Bellevue High School in Iowa. Tim will be remembered for his unique perspective on life. He loved spending time with his friends, listening to music, playing and watching sports.

Tim is survived by his mother, Susan (Kevin) Knief, Bellevue and his father, William Bill (Joyce) Schiffman, Lancaster; Maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Janice Kipper, Lancaster; Paternal grandparents, Douglas and Marion Schiffman, Cassville; Maternal great-grandmother, Viola Caley, Bloomington; his brother, Anthony Schiffman, Bellevue; three half-brothers, Lucas and Colton Knief, Bellevue and Lance Schiffman, Lancaster; a half-sister, Trinadee Schiffman, Lancaster and a step-brother, Mitchell Knief, Bellevue.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Lawrence Caley.

A Timothy W. Schiffman Memorial fund has been established.
